18-month sleep regression

Did anyone else experience this little phenomenon with their own bundle of joy?? I need advice...I'm sick of being up at 3AM, and I'm sick of sleeping with a wiggle worm who kicks, scratches, and rolls all over me. (We're not co-sleepers, but I've found that's the only way to get her to go back to sleep.)

HELP!

Oh boy, I really wish I had some good advice to give you. Maybe she is getting some new teeth, have you checked? If so, maybe a little Tylenol or something when she wakes up. Since the time switched Aubree has not been sleeping well at all and has NOT been napping. I am so exhausted. Good luck Megan.

My first instinct would be teeth too...molars?? I would bet it's a short phase and won't last long. No fun though after you're used to sleeping all night again!

Thanks for your comments, ladies. She definitely is getting molars on the top and maybe on the bottom, BUT I've tried Tylenol, Orajel, AND teething tablets when she wakes up, and she still won't go back to sleep. I even gave her a cup of milk in her bed (which I never do), and she started screaming as soon as the milk was gone. :( I just hate the unpredictability of the waking up at night...it's 2:00 in the afternoon, and I'm already dreading bedtime!

I would say its teeth too. I would try anything and everything you can think of besides bringing her to bed with you. Try the meds like you have... rocking, watching something boring on tv (Grace would fall asleep to baby einstein), drink of water, walk around the house, whatever... we found when we moved Grace would wake up and want to sleep with us. Sometimes it took an hour to get her back down in her bed, but after a week she did better and stopped waking. Not sure if this helps! Hope the teeth pop through soon.

Megan, came back to check on you. I thought of something, because teething tablets and orajel never worked for us either, we used a cold teething ring and sometimes we would even freeze a wet wash cloth and let Aubree chew on that. Maybe you could still give her a little Tylenol when she wakes and let her chew on the ring or wash cloth. To this day with a mouth full of teeth, Aubree still likes chewing on those things. Hope that helps, I think it is just a phase though and I think teeth tend to move through their gums at night, poor little kids. Keep us posted.
