I love your new banner! You can try hosting your banner on Photobucket, that is what I do, BUT the exact opposite happens to me, it's very dull and flat.

The red isn't bad. It's one of those thing that only bothers you and no one else notices.
But the color looks fine on your computer until you put it in blogger? That's weird.
