First swim

So, I made a new friend. Her name is Melissa, and I met her at the mall. She has an adorable little girl named Kathryn, who is almost exactly one month older than Eleanor. Today, we took the girls to this indoor pool with a kiddy area that Melissa knew about. It was so much fun!Eleanor did great. She wasn't scared of the water at all, and really seemed to enjoy it (as seen below.) I was somewhat relieved because I just signed us up for a Mommy and Me swim class that starts in June. (We were inspired by the tales of Aubree and her swim class at the Y.)

I just couldn't resist snapping picture after picture of my happy little swimmer in her oh-so cute bathing suit. By the time we got to the last picture, she was way past nap time, and clearly not in the mood to humor us with a smile!

Yeah a picture of mommy. It looks like you all had lots of fun. I am glad Eleanor loved the water also am happy that Aubree inspired you to sign up for swimming lessons. Too bad we didn't live near each other our little fish would have lots of fun splashing around the pool.

Look at you tow! How cute. I love it....swimming is so great for the kids, but it can be so scary for mommas. Good for you getting in the pool with the kiddos. I thought about doing a class with Elaina, but am too much of a wimp about the whole fat exploding out of my swimsuit thing. You guys are adorable!!

I wish I felt that good in a bathing suit! Do you ever have a bad day over there!? If not, praise the Lord! It seems like you are going to have such a great relationship with your girl, that's a treasure!

I wanted to let you know that I changed the code of my blog so if you want to check it out ever again, try http://web.mac.com/cmwinterhartley/iWeb/MyAwesomeOliveShoots Hopefully that will work. I didn't know how to reach you so I wanted to leave a comment. You are an inspirational mommy!

Wendy- Girlfriend, there is all kinds of stuff exploding out of my swimsuit in every direction!! I bought this really awesome Mommy-type swimsuit this year from Land's End. It's basically shorts and a tank top that you wear in the water. I wanted to get something that I felt comfortable in, so that I would take advantage of the pool this summer with Eleanor. I never thought I would let someone take my picture in my swimsuit!! I must be losing it!!

Cindy- Your comments are so sweet! Of course we have bad days over here!! I usually just don't write about them. That Proverbs 31 mom was no whiner!! :)

I really hope that Eleanor and I always have a good relationship. Sometimes things are complicated with girls and their mommas, and I just pray that we won't go through that.

I'll definitely be back to check out your blog. You really have a gift when it comes to writing.

That looks like so much fun!!!! Aubree has also inspired me to sign Cameron up for swim class in June and they will be in the pool together (although I feel the same as Wendy about the whole fat explosion thing, I just don't want anyone to witness that!.

That's wonderful you got to meet a nice mom and her daughter! Melissa and Eleanor look so cute - I LOVE LOVE LOVE Eleanor's swimsuit!!!

First of all, the second one is adorable, like she's saying...there she goes snapping pictures again.

Second, I LOVE Lands Ends bathing suits. They are the best! I have one of those tank/shorts suits.

Thirdly, oops, I whine on my blog...

Wow, I am so envious that you can just "meet a friend at the mall". Perhaps I'm just too shy.

I have decided to get over the whole fat explosion. We got a pool membership for the summer, and there were moms there who were WAY bigger than me, and they didn't seem to care, so why should I??
Afer all, this is the way He made me. Wonderfully. Right??
